It is widely agreed that the best time to do cardio is soon after
waking from a good night’s sleep. It is acceptable to eat a few
egg-whites and a small portion of Old Fashioned Oatmeal with no
fruit or sugar. It is important to do cardio before sugar enters the
blood stream. The brain scans the blood continuously all day
assessing different levels. Glucose and Glycogen are part of this
scan. If the brain can’t find enough to accomplish the physical
task you’ve engaged in, it sends a message to the body to go
into the fat stores and get the sugar from that.
As you do cardio, your body breaks down your fat stores and you
get slimmer and trimmer. As you finish your cardio session, your
body doesn’t just slow down to a normal metabolism, but rather
gradually comes back to normal half an hour to an hour later...
so you continue to burn fat at an accelerated rate. |
